We started making necklaces for me, my daughters and several of our friends. Our grandchildren's teachers were the recipients of many of our necklaces. We kept buying additional balls of different sizes and color to have a different matching color necklace to wear with different outfits. We found that various designs could be created by using different size beads, spacers and other items on the necklace. Truly every necklace was a one of a kind.

Prior to that time we were making toggle bracelets for out family, friends, and grandchildren’s teachers. On several occasions we were asked to custom design a bracelet in a specific color for someone.

After visiting various bead stores throughout the country we found a source of interchangeable beads with crystal inserts. Also they carried sterling silver bangle bracelets, which the interchangeable beads could be places on the bracelet.

Now Designs by Di could create a one of a kind custom color Sterling Silver Necklaces and a matching Sterling Silver Bangle Bracelet. Why stop there, we then created matching earrings.

What was a hobby for our family and friends was now blossoming with new ideas and fresh colors.
